What do you know about ActiveSG?

Sport Singapore started the nationwide initiative known as ActiveSG. Through a variety of programs and activities offered at reasonable prices, it seeks to encourage sport and healthy living among all age groups.

For Singaporeans and PRs, the program—which has a companion app for smartphones—is free. Every enrolled and qualified member will receive a free $100 credit in the in-app wallet.

Additionally, users of collaborating partners can utilize the in-app wallet. For every $10 spent, we may receive a $1 ActiveSG credit. Per transaction, $10 worth of ActiveSG credit can be earned. Burger King, Decathlon, and other retailers take part in this.

Although there is no expiration date for the ActiveSG membership, these credits do so on December 31 of the year after account registration.

What Are the Benefits of Singaporeans’ $100 ActiveSG Credit?

  1. Get access to public pools.

Instead of complaining that you can’t afford a condo with a pool, try to accept your current financial status. With your ActiveSG credits, you may use Singapore’s public pools for free. You won’t use all your credit in a year if you visit once a week for $1 to $2. If you swim regularly, purchase a MyActiveSWIM pass to save money and get a group discount.

  1. Workout at the gym for nothing

It’s necessary to terminate the expensive gym subscription. You may join ClubFITT gyms for free using your ActiveSG credits, which normally cost $2.50 apiece. If you’re somewhat disciplined and frequently visit the gym in the morning, you can use your ActiveSG credits to buy a MyActiveGym membership, which costs $80 and provides you with unlimited access to the facility every day before 4 p.m.

  1. Dedicated courts for racquetball

Even though I’m terrible at everything involving eye-hand coordination, like 99% of Singaporeans, I can play badminton. You may use your credits to book spaces everywhere in Singapore. The school gymnasiums in the majority of neighborhoods have badminton courts; ten tennis facilities have courts; five squash facilities have courts, and twelve sports halls include tables for table tennis.

  1. Set aside sports facilities for teams.

If the notion of twenty people pursuing one ball makes you want to chase the ball yourself rather than hide out in the air-conditioned area away from all the commotion, you meet the description of a team sports enthusiast. You may reserve fields, pitches, and courts for sports such as hockey, basketball, netball, soccer, volleyball, and futsal if your team intends to crush another team for free.

  1. Get a 30% discount on sports programs.

For those of us who are not naturally athletic, attempting a new sport on our own is a recipe for broken bones. Working out in a group setting with an instructor nearby who can summon assistance if you make a nearly fatal mistake while learning a new yoga position is significantly safer.

In truth, ActiveSG provides a wide range of programs, like KpopX fitness and Zumba, which allow you to harness your inner auntie and ah lian, respectively, and unusual-sounding workouts like CardioMIX and PILOXING.
